Hope for Teenage Mothers

Hope for Teenage Mothers organised a grand Workshop to prepare the teenage mothers with empowering projects ahead. In attendance were five facilitators amomg other invited guests. The workshop has really boosted the morale and self esteem of the more than 150 Teenage Mothers. A third of the mothers joined Informal/ Alternative learning class on Monday the 6th of July 2009 at Mukuru Kwa Reuben Centre, a course that will take an average of 2 years depending on the grades they droppedout.

As much as this is a pilot program, the organization wants the program to be continous so that many Teenage Mothers can benefit. We are looking for donors to fund the project as well as to partner with us. Since most of our Projects are run by volunteers, the expenditure is low and therefore any modest contribution would make a great difference.
